About

A consultancy built out of ten years on the ground.

Freeman Gulf Logistics Ltd is a UK-registered consultancy run from Doha, working with companies whose supply chains touch the Gulf.

The firm

Freeman Gulf Logistics was founded on a simple observation: in this region, the gap between a good supply chain plan and a working one is almost always execution. Strategy decks are written far from the port. The people who understand what a customs delay in Dammam or a summer shutdown in Doha does to a programme are usually the ones running the operation — and they are rarely the ones being asked.

We work at both ends. We will do the analysis, model the network and build the business case; and then we will sit through the tender, onboard the forwarder, rewrite the standard operating procedures and stay until your team can run it without us.

The founder

Matthew Freeman has spent around a decade in managerial supply chain and logistics roles in the GCC, most recently in Saudi Arabia, covering procurement, freight, warehousing and distribution for industrial and project-driven operations. He now runs Freeman Gulf Logistics from Doha.

That experience is the reason the firm is deliberately small and founder-led. Clients get the person who has done the work, not a team assembled around a proposal.

Freeman Gulf Logistics crest: a demi-lion rampant on a navy shield
The mark

A demi-lion rampant.

The crest recorded for the Freeman name is a demi-lion rampant — the upper half of a lion rearing, forepaws raised. In heraldry the posture stands for readiness and a willingness to defend what is yours. It seemed a reasonable thing for a company that gets other people’s cargo through the Gulf to carry.

How we operate

Four commitments we will not trade away.

Independence

No carrier agencies, no forwarder commissions, no referral fees. If the right answer is your incumbent, we will say so.

Evidence first

Recommendations are built from your own data and are handed over in a form your finance and audit teams can check line by line.

Hand-over by design

Every engagement has an end point and a documented hand-over. We would rather be recalled than retained by default.

Discretion

Commercial terms, rates and supplier performance stay confidential. We do not publish client names without written consent.
